A New Christmas Carol - Young Ebenezer

With less than a month to the BIG day, I want to tell you about a very special Christmas story, Young Ebenezer ~ A New Christmas Carol by Rose English. Not only is it a beautiful read, but every e-copy sold around £1.10 will go to Rose’s special Children’s Ward Charity. Rose wants to make sure sick children have a wonderful Christmas even though they can’t be home like other children.

If you love a perfect Christmas story then please take a look at Young Ebenezer it will make you smile and also lots of little children will too... thank you!

Young Ebenezer ~ A New Christmas Carol

This story is a seasonal treat, a modern, lyrical re-telling of the Charles Dickens classic - ‘A Christmas Carol.’

The book is specially designed for families to share during the Holiday Season, or for young competent readers to try for themselves. This is a beautiful ebook to treasure, with full colour images on every page.

Eb is a spoilt child who really is not one for caring, and he certainly hates sharing. He is watched over by a very special guardian – the family’s ancient longcase clock, who is bestowed with magic. His name is Grandfather Time.

On Christmas Eve Grandfather Time decides he must teach the boy a lesson. So he calls upon his friends; the Ghosts of Past, Present and Future and with lessons to learn he brings forth the first tutor – a little golden-red King Charles spaniel, called Miss Ruby Heart.

Will this unlikely pair be able to teach the boy the error of his ways? Or will he be doomed to be a scruffy, lonely teenager stuck forever in his own little world?

Available in Kindle and paperback.

Rose, aka, Susan, talks a little about the Charity …

“The charity is, WYE VALLEY NHS TRUST UMBRELLA CHARITY because I work in the hospital and I want to help more. I am raising money for the Children's ward and children's areas around the hospital  to cheer the little ones who have to stay in or visit hospital during Christmas. I have a JustGiving page at the moment our focus is to get table tennis equipment for the children’s ward in time for Christmas to help ease them through their stay.
Ping pong, I have read, is very therapeutic. It is not only enjoyable it is a low-injury risk sport that keeps one fit and flexible, without putting severe stress on joints. Playing table tennis increases one's agility and flexibility, and most of all reaction time. So proving to be of great benefit in helping to speed a child’s recovery.”

A perfect read and a perfect stocking filler, who said ping pong couldn't make you smile!

A Reader's Word on Satchfield Hall

Yes, I am smiling. Today I received an email from a lovely reader about her thoughts on Satchfield Hall and I just had to share them with you …

“As with all of Ms.Barclay’s books, I like the pace. Her writing has a particular rhythm; it keeps you hooked, but doesn’t speed you through the scenes. This excellent pace gives the reader time to absorb, sympathize, and become enmeshed with the characters.

It is obvious that Ms.Barclay deeply understands the dilemma & emotions of her characters. She covers all aspects of their personalities, and one cannot help but feel closely connected with them.

I also enjoyed “watching” each character grow into wisdom & confidence, friendship & trust. Truly a wonderful story!”

Satchfield Hall is available in Kindle and paperback from ALL Amazon sites.
